Vintage Thanksgiving Turkey Candle with Pumpkin, Hand-Painted Wax

A painted wax turkey candle, fanned tail up and a small pumpkin at his feet. It's the kind of figural holiday candle Gurley and Tavern made by the thousand mid-century, though this one carries no maker's mark.

Dimensions: 4.5" L × 4" W × 2.75" H · 3.6 oz

Condition: Paint bright and intact, with light rubbing along the tail edge.

Candles like this were made to come out every November, stand guard by the gravy boat, and go back in the box. Set him on a Grandmillennial sideboard with a pair of brass candlesticks.
