Return and Refund Policy
All sales at Jolene Le Mille are final. Every item in the Jolene Le Mille Archive is a one-of-a-kind find of genuine history. It cannot be restocked, reordered, or replaced — because there is no factory producing another one.
Because of this, all Archive sales are final and non-refundable. When a piece finds its next steward, that line in the ledger closes. We ask every prospective guardian to read each listing closely, review all photographs, and reach out with any questions about condition, dimensions, materials, or provenance before purchasing.
You are not just buying an object you are accepting responsibility for the story it carries forward.
Jolene Le Mille's Policies
The Archive deals in objects that have lived full lives. A dent in a pewter mug, a smoothed edge on a marble slab, a hairline crack in a glaze — these are the biography of the object, not flaws. We describe every piece’s condition with full transparency in its listing, including all marks of honest wear.
Purchasing an Archive Piece with documented wear and then requesting a refund based on that wear is not grounds for a return. We never artificially distress pieces to simulate age. What you see is what the piece has genuinely earned.
If your Archive Piece arrives damaged as a result of shipping, please photograph the damage and the packaging immediately upon receipt, before moving or unpacking the piece further, and contact us within 48 hours at sales@jolenelemille.com.
We will work with you and the carrier to file a damage claim and find a resolution. For pieces shipped via white-glove or blanket-wrap carrier, full transit insurance is included.
Items purchased through the weekly In the M.U.D. live sale are sold as-found, in raw field condition, with no restoration or cleaning. They are priced to reflect this. All M.U.D. sales are final. The raw state of a M.U.D. piece is its defining characteristic, and it is disclosed fully at the time of sale.
The $150 Bespoke Hunt retainer is non-refundable at the time of booking. It compensates The Hunter for active field time dedicated to your brief and is applied to your purchase price upon a successful find.
If no suitable piece is found within the agreed search window, the retainer is not automatically refundable — please review the terms of your specific commission agreement.
Contact The Archive
We welcome questions about specific items, including their condition and history. The Archive's purpose is to match these objects with the appropriate steward rather than rush them out the door.
For inquiries regarding an item, including provenance details, dimensions, or photographs, send an email or use the contact form. Be sure to include the item title and any relevant information about your home so we can provide you with clear and practical answers.
Response Times
We typically respond within 1 to 3 business days. During active hunting seasons (from April to October in the Great Lakes region), response times may take 3 to 5 business days.
"We are not inflexible, we are honest. These items are irreplaceable, and we say so plainly before you buy them. Read the listing. Ask your questions. Then, when you claim a piece, claim it with the commitment it deserves."
