Embroidered Linens, Pattern 831. Three motifs made to be edged with ready-made eyelet ruffling: a cluster of pansies, a spray of wild roses, and a butterfly whose wings are filled with lazy daisies. Each one sits inside a dashed scalloped outline that marks where the ruffle goes. Extra sprays and a trial motif fill out the sheet. The printed instructions give color suggestions for every flower, yardage for a towel, a dresser scarf and a pillowcase, how much ruffling each motif takes, and a stitch guide (lazy daisy, single stitch, French knot, satin and outline).
