The tin is lithographed in England, 1971 — two robins on a cherry branch at the center, finches and blossoms in the border panels, gold rococo scrollwork on a sage green lattice ground. The Daher mark is clean on the reverse. Registered Design 951942.
Daher Decorated Ware produced its tins in England to American design specifications from Long Island, New York — the combination produced a decorative object that reads more Victorian than mid-century, which is likely why the pieces have outlasted the era that made them.
The surface is decorative. Not for the dishwasher. Not for the oven. A cloth and a careful hand.
